Benjamin Ashworth Ramsbottom


1929-

From 1971 the editor of the Gospel Standard. A native of Lancashire, he has been pastor of Bethel Chapel, Luton since 1967. Formerly a school master he maintains a close interest in children and young people. He has written many books on various subjects, his best sellers being Bible Doctrines-Simply Explained which has been reprinted eight times and translated into numerous languages, and a range of books especially for young children. His magnum opus is probably the biography of William Gadsby an eminent servant of God of the 19th century, of whom the author has made a life time study.
