

John Robert Broome
1931-
Minister, author, historian and lecturer. For 27 years teacher of History and Latin, and Careers Advisor in Grammar and Comprehensive schools.
Retired from teaching since 1986, he maintains links with Christians in Holland and Nepal (Gurkhas). He lives in Trowbridge and has written many books, mostly historical and biographical. He regularly visits Holland and lectures to the students of the universities. His latest book is A Bruised Reed, The Life and Times of Anne Steele the 18th century hymnwriter. He has also written the first biography of John Warburton, the author of 'The Mercies of a Covenant God,' published in 1996 under the title 'Servant of a Covenant God.'
