Sydney Frank Paul

1883-1971

After retiring from his position as Examiner at the Patent Office in 1943 he devoted much of his time to writing books. He was editor of the Gospel Standard for the period 1964-1970 and was one of only two editors of the magazine who were not preachers. He wrote some books especially for children such as Bible Animals and Bible People. As well as the Historical Sketch of the Gospel Standard Baptists he also wrote six volumes on the history of some Gospel Standard churches.
