COVID-19 Update, Harpenden
We have had news that three residents at our Harpenden Home who had shown symptoms of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and had been tested have now received the results which are positive. Whilst this is of concern the news is not unexpected and we are thankful that the residents concerned are not, at present, severely affected. However, we are still monitoring their condition carefully and consistently following the recommended guidelines advised by Public Health England. The families of the affected residents have been informed of this latest development.
The Harpenden staff situation is likewise being monitored and although we have a few staff on sick-leave we are hopeful that some members of staff who were compelled to 'self-isolate' will be able to return to full duties later this week, if the Lord will.
We are thankful that the Brighton and Studley Homes are still continuing to operate as usual.
The Trustees are having almost daily 'virtual' meetings and are in constant contact with the General Manager who in turn is closely liaising with the respective Home Managers and staff. Once again the Trustees value your prayers and continued support and would acknowledge the Lord's goodness to Bethesda at this difficult time. May we sweetly prove that '...the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted'. Psalm 140:12
