COVID-19 - Visiting the Homes (Updated)

With the ongoing concerns regarding the current outbreak of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Bethesda is carefully monitoring the situation in view of our residents being elderly and therefore particularly vulnerable and at ‘high risk’.

Currently due to the need to shield and protect Bethesda’s residents and staff, all three homes are closed to non-essential personnel - this includes visitors. This decision has not been taken lightly and our desire has been to walk in the fear of the Lord and to safeguard the residents and staff from infection.

We are not immune or insensitive to the fact that by putting these restrictions in place for visitors to the homes there may well be personal and emotional costs on families, relatives, friends and their loved ones. We trust that people will understand that these are difficult times and that our prime concern is the well-being of all the residents and staff.

We thank you for your continued co-operation at this time.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your local Home.

Please click on the following link to view Bethesda’s Response of the Gospel Standard Bethesda Homes during the Coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic. This document contains details of the processes and procedures to shield the residents and staff, in the Homes, from infection.

This information will be updated as the situation requires, please ensure you keep abreast by visiting the website on a regular basis or joining the Friends of Bethesda email base. (Please contact adriantopping@gsbf.uk if you wish to be added to the email base.)

Whilst we would not be faithless and we know that God is in control of all events we as Trustees have a duty to act prudently in the fear of the Lord. We pray that the Lord will preserve our Bethesda Homes - residents and staff - in peace and safety.
