Today is the Lord's Day and access to this part of the web site is restricted
When God created the world He set apart the seventh day of the week, the Sabbath, as a day of rest, and this was confirmed in the law God gave to Moses: "Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy" (Exodus 20:8). The Lord Jesus in His earthly ministry often criticised the Jews because of their harsh, legalistic interpretation of the Sabbath and emphasised that a day of rest was given to man because he needed it, and needed time free from the constraints of work to worship God - it was not something imposed on man unnecessarily. Ever since the resurrection of the Lord Jesus which was on the first day of the week, Christians have kept the first day of the week, the Lord's Day, as their day of rest and worship, and it is with thankfulness we acknowledge this provision of God for our good. As such we felt we could not countenance the use of the web site for purely commercial purposes, or for things which would interfere with our desire to keep the Lord's Day special.
