Further to our recent update in which we reported that a member of staff at the Studley Home had tested positive for COVID-19, it is in gratitude to the Lord that we are able to report that there have been no further cases following the period of isolation and full re-testing of staff and residents this week.

As a consequence the visitors room facility is being reopened to relatives and friends from today (Thursday 4 February).

Further to our recent update in which we reported that a member of staff at the Studley Home had tested positive for COVID-19, we are now able to confirm that follow-up testing for all residents and staff have returned negative results. We are truly thankful to the Lord for His continuing watchful care at this time. However, the Local Infection Control team of Public Health England have advised us that the residents must continue to self-isolate in their rooms for a total of fourteen days. This additionally means that visits to the Home cannot recommence until Friday 5th February 2021, subject to there being no further COVID-19 contacts in the meantime.
Please continue to remember the residents, their loved ones and each member of staff at this difficult time.
If you have any questions, please contact Adrian Topping at adriantopping@gsbf.uk or on the office land line.

Due to the receipt of a positive COVID-19 test result for a member of staff on Saturday 23rd January, which was confirmed on Monday, we have taken the decision to temporarily close the visiting facility at the Studley Home.
The individual concerned was sent home to self-isolate when the original result was received and consequently, as an additional precaution the residents have been asked to remain in their rooms. Additionally we await the results of a re-test of all residents and staff carried out  yesterday.
In the meantime, staff will be taking Lateral Flow Tests (a.k.a. rapid test) every day for seven days before commencing work. This is in line with government guidance following receipt of a positive test result.
Once the results of the re-testing of residents and staff is known a decision will be taken on whether the additional measures can either be lifted or will need to remain in place for a the time being.
We pray for the welfare of the residents, the member of staff concerned, the Home Manager and each member of her team.
If you have any questions, please contact Adrian Topping at adriantopping@gsbf.uk or on the office land line.
